Body & Soul is looking for experienced Pilates instructors who are certified in mat and equipment. If you are a new instructor and are looking for an apprentice position, please contact us. We are also interested in experienced mat class instructors.Certification
Mat Certification
Body & Soul will offer a comprehensive Pilates mat certification in Summer 2008 called PilateSynergy. It will be a 4 day course, which will include:- concepts and principles
- anatomy
- exercises and what they are for
- how to start and progress a class
- use of props
- understanding of the Pilates method and why it works
Cost is $550, which includes 3 books. Class size is limited to 8 people. Please call or email for exact dates.
Prerequisite: at least 10 Pilates mat classes or 10 private sessions.
Equipment Certification
Body & Soul will offer a PilateSynergy equipment certification course starting in 2009. A payment plan is available. This course will consist of a class session about once a month on Saturdays and part of Sunday. There will be 8 class sessions given.Prerequisites: Pilates mat certification and 10 private sessions on
equipment.
This will be a 450 hour course including classroom, observation, self-
practice, student teaching and studying hours. Cost is $3000. More
details will be available later.
